The story centres on a young couple that uses heroine to step up the intensity of their passion. It seems that nothing can separate Dan and Candy until they become increasingly immersed in their addiction. Soon, the only thing that counts is getting money for drugs. The dream of permanent passion is replaced by the nightmare of mental and physical disintegration. When Candy almost reaches the point of insanity, Dan makes a final attempt to rescue the relationship.
